The Russian Water Congress held in Moscow on April 8-10, 2025 is a key CIS-wide forum focusing on the development of water sector. This year the event was attended by more than 8,000 visitors. The Congress aims at bringing together a broad expert community, including ministries, governmental bodies and industry leaders of water sector. The event creates a platform for developing consolidated solutions for complex use of water, sustainable development of water industry, conservation and rehabilitation of water resources. The Forum is held annually under the patronage of the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov, the Parliament and on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation.
BSTU scholars have been working effectively on developing and implementing several scientifically-based industrial solutions for water industry. On April 8, their development “Digital models of water disposal system processes: techniques, software and practical implementation” (developed by Ihar Voitau, Vladimir Shtepa) was presented at the congress conference “Industrial automation facilities and digital solutions for water sector: practical aspects”. The presentation aroused a vivid discussion by the conference attendees.
Further discussions at the sidefields of the event made it possible to connect with academic experts, scholars and industry professionals from EAEU and CIS countries, among them large water sector enterprises of Russia and IT companies working in related fields.?
