
Minsk, December 18 – Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) warmly received a delegation from Zhejiang Shuren University (ZJSRU), led by Vice?Rector Prof. Jun Chen, for a visit aimed at deepening academic and research collaboration.

The program featured bilateral talks between Prof. Chen and BSTU Rector Serhei Kasperovich, joined by Vice?Rectors Andrei Hauryliuk and Vyacheslav Fleisher. Discussions centered on expanding academic mobility opportunities and establishing a joint research laboratory, underscoring the commitment of both universities to fostering innovation and knowledge exchange. As a result of these productive talks, Rector Kasperovich and Prof. Chen signed two cooperation agreements, placing the partnership on a firm and lasting foundation.


The delegation was also given a comprehensive tour of BSTU facilities where they explored an exhibition of research developments by BSTU scholars, the Museum of BSTU History, and several specialized laboratories, including those dedicated to forest protection, crystallography, mineralogy and petrography, as well as the Department of Logging Machinery, Forest Roads and Timber Production Technology. The guests visited a classroom of hunting science and the university’s renowned xylotheque, gaining an appreciation of rich academic and scientific environment of BSTU.

This visit marked an important step in strengthening ties between BSTU and Zhejiang Shuren University paving the way for future collaborative projects and reinforcing the role of both institutions as active contributors to international academic cooperation.
