Minsk, December 2025 – The first days of winter brought a festive international spirit to the campus of the Belarusian State Technological University. BSTU marked its 95th anniversary — a milestone that drew old friends and new partners from across the globe, all eager to congratulate the university on nearly a century of excellence and success.
From December 2 to 5, 2025, the university hosted Science, Education and Innovation Week, transforming its campus into a vibrant hub of global cooperation. Delegations from Russia, Azerbaijan, and China joined the celebrations, turning BSTU into an international platform for academic dialogue, research partnerships, and cultural exchange.
The anniversary week was more than a commemoration — it was a showcase of BSTU’s enduring role at the forefront of science and education, and a powerful reminder that collaboration knows no borders.
Strong ties, bright future: BSTU and Russian partners celebrate a partnership in action
The 95th anniversary of BSTU provided the perfect occasion to spotlight projects that are transforming the international educational landscape. One of the most striking examples is the university’s thriving cooperation with partners in Russia.



Since September 2024, students from the distant Primorye region have joined the BSTU community, pursuing degrees in forestry and enterprise economy and management. Their training is tailored to the needs of the Ministry of Forestry, Wildlife Protection, and Natural Resources of the Primorye region — a clear endorsement of the university’s academic excellence and practical relevance.
This partnership not only strengthens international ties but also demonstrates how collaboration can meet real?world demands, equipping young specialists with the skills to address pressing challenges in sustainable forestry and resource management.
Long?standing dialogue with Saint Petersburg Forest Engineering University
The visit of a delegation from Saint Petersburg State Forest Engineering University — one of Russia’s oldest institutions in the field — became a symbolic highlight of BSTU anniversary celebrations. Led by Aleksandr Dobrovolskiy, Vice?Rector for Research and International Cooperation, the delegation played an active role in the festive agenda.

The guests joined the Open Session of the University Council, took part in VIII International Science and Technology Conference “Minsk Scientific Readings?2025” and attended several other academic events.
A special moment of the visit was an excursion to Negoreloye Forestry Experimental Station where the delegation explored long?standing traditions of forest education in Belarus. They were introduced to unique facilities, advanced resources for practical training, and opportunities for sharing best practices — a vivid demonstration of how heritage and innovation continue to shape forestry education today.
BSTU and Samara University forge high-tech partnership
BSTU and Samara University are taking bold steps toward building a sustainable partnership in the field of high technology. Following a series of productive meetings and discussions, the two institutions are now drafting a Road Map that will outline future joint projects in aerospace engineering and artificial intelligence.
This collaboration is already yielding results: lecturers from BSTU Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Technical Systems recently returned from Samara equipped with fresh expertise in drone design. Their experience marks the beginning of a dynamic exchange of knowledge that will strengthen both universities’ positions in cutting-edge research and innovation.
BSTU and TISBI University of Management explore double-degree programme in business analysis
BSTU has entered into discussions with TISBI University of Management (Kazan) to launch a new double-degree programme in business analysis. Designed for Master’s degree students, the initiative aims to equip future professionals with the skills most in demand in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy.?
Bridge of friendship: Wuhan to Minsk
A high?level delegation from Wuhan Shouyi University, led by Rector Li Chunguang, visited BSTU with a packed agenda that underscored the strength of the partnership between the two institutions. The programme included negotiations on future cooperation initiatives, tours of BSTU cutting?edge laboratory facilities, participation in the plenary session of the VIII International Science and Technology Conference “Minsk Scientific Readings?2025”, and a ceremonial meeting marking the 95th Anniversary of BSTU.
Far from being a courtesy call, the visit reflected a constructive dialogue between long?standing partners. Since the launch of bilateral cooperation in 2023, the partnership has already borne fruit: bachelor and Master’s degree students from Wuhan are studying at BSTU, preparing for highly demanding and rewarding careers in science and technology.
A new chapter of cooperation with Azerbaijan
The visit of the delegation from Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry (ASUOI) marked a highlight among BSTU’s anniversary celebrations. On December 2, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, laying the groundwork for future breakthrough projects in the fields of energy and chemistry.



ASUOI Rector Rufat Azizov further underscored the importance of collaboration by addressing the plenary session of the VIII International Science and Technology Forum on Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Processing “Petrogaschemistry?2025.” In his remarks, he shared best practices of cooperation with leading oil industry partners, reinforcing the value of academic?industry synergy.
